"From the start walking into reception staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure both myself and wife had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The room was immaculate, tea & coffee on tap, bottled water, fresh milk in the mini fridge. Breakfast was covered from full English, continental, fruit & yogurt, toast to mention just a few items on offer to cater for all, Big shout out to Mike who was always at hand to apiece any of requests. "I found The Royal & Fortescue to be a lovely comfortable place to stay in the centre of Barnstaple very close to all amenities including the bus station which was so handy for getting to other near by attractions. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. We had a really nice relaxing stay and if in Barnstaple again would be more than happy to stay again."
