"Pros: Large room was very clean when we arrived; delicious breakfast; bikes; mist machines at the pool; excellent margaritas. Cons: Lumpy uncomfortable beds; thin walls; dirty A/C and bathroom fans; pool water, pool deck and loungers not clean; gross smell in hallways; understaffed restaurant. Overall this is an aging property with bright paint and furnishings to mask its imperfections. The price was fair but we were not very comfortable."

"This place has huge potential and must have been a really cool MCM motel at one time, but the current management has no clue what they are doing, unless running a flop house is their business model , I almost wanted to buy the place just so that I could fix it!!"

"Fantastic pool deck. Bikes available to borrow. One block off main drag, easy walk. Rooms are small but pool and location made up for it! Great location and fun vibe."

"A place in the Sun was a welcome find and very reasonably priced. The place was built in 1951 and consists of a number of bungalows around a large pool and adjacent Jacuzzi. Plenty of chaise lounges around the pool. The spartan room had a very comfortable king size bed, large screen TV, refrigerator a coffee maker with two pods "

"It is an unmanned property which means no one is there to help if you need it. The hottub was cold for a full day of our stay, which is unfortunate because we booked a place with a hottub specifically. We messaged them at around 8am with no response until around 2pm. Then no one came to fix it and no updates from staff. The room on the other side was having a very loud party. We waited until a reasonable hour to message staff. Around 1am. No response from staff at all. It is dated, but fairly clean. If you get lucky and there are no issues, it's a pleasant place to stay."
