Chateau Castigno is located in the absolutely stunning area completely picturesque. Two good restaurants in the village of Assignan including a great breakfast.. many others within a short driving distance. The cave is an architectural gem with a thoughtful caring winemaker at the helm. Delicious!

We were received with kindness. The person at the reception was very helpful and showed us all the amenities of hotel and room.
She gave us an upgrade in the room without us requesting it.
Room was clean and spacious which is not common in many European cities.
We added the well served breakfast at a reasonable price.
The hotel is just about 10 min drive from the city castle.
Overall great stay. Definitely recommend it!!

They have a special parking lot where you leave your car and they have car service to pickup you and your luggage and deliver you to the hotel. Private event in their dining room when we were there but they made reservations for us in a lovely restaurant a few door down (Comte Roger) and was one of the best of our trip. Lots of restaurants and shops within the walled city. Great...

This hotel was wonderful. Carcassonne is a special town and the hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located at the base of the castle with excellent views of the castle and surrounding hillsides. The restaurant offers an open-air experience, and we enjoyed happy hour wine in the evening then a lovely breakfast in the morning. The room itself was the best part - eloquent yet comfortable. We will stay here again when we visit Carcassonne.

Wonderful French chateau with a wonderfully friendly staff. We extended our stay here due to the charm and ambience as we head to Spain for the eclipse. The room is perfect, with the best bed we have experienced this trip and a lovely balcony. Breakfast was also great. Spectacular value for money. I highly recommend a stay here.

Staff was super friendly and offered to carry ours bags to our room and gave hand written suggestions for restaurants without asking. Our stay was very reasonably priced as well. Exceptional service and an excellent location close to the medieval Cite. We stayed at Le Grand Bassin Guesthouse for one night before picking up our Le Boat for a 10-day cruise east. I can say without hesitation that we had a perfect stay! We arrived on Castelnaudry by train, and then walked to the guesthouse, so of course we were behind schedule. Sophie waited patiently for us and, on our arrival, called Chez David in town to make sure we would get a table for dinner.
