"If you’re looking for an authentic St. Thomas experience, Bluebeard’s Castle is it. We stayed at Pirates Pension area and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better spot. For context, we have been to St. Thomas 10x and have stayed all across the island, north, south, east, and west, in everything from resorts to Airbnbs. So when we say this is one of the best bang for your buck stays on the island, we mean it. The views from up on the hill are absolutely stunning. You can see the harbor and the Caribbean stretching out forever and it never gets old. The resort itself is well kept and has that perfect mix of laid back island vibes with everything you need. The on site restaurant was a real standout. The food was delicious, the seafood and fresh mangos were incredible and the atmosphere in there was just right. Exactly the kind of place where you lose track of time over a good meal. And don’t sleep on the drinks, the adult beverages were plenty strong and kept the good times going all afternoon. The pool area was great (3.5 foot deep) and one of our favorite spots on the property (kids)It felt super safe, surprisingly quiet, and never overcrowded. Perfect for just floating around and unwinding with zero stress. The location is great too. Close enough to Charlotte Amalie to explore the shops and local history, but tucked away enough that it feels like a true escape. If you’re planning a trip to St. Thomas, don’t overthink it. Bluebeard’s Castle delivered!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Morning Glory! The villa is absolutely beautiful, with stunningly gorgeous ocean views that are breathtaking and indescribable. The waves crashing on the rocks, the stars at night off the deck and just taking in the unbelievable beauty was incredible! Alan was a very kind, friendly and helpful host, we appreciated all the tips and helpful info he shared. A few things to note: The large mini-split ductless AC units that are shown in photos in the living room and the bedrooms were nonfunctional. There were small window AC units in the kitchen and bedrooms however, not as efficient or quiet as the larger units we expected, however we stayed late March and had a lot of cooler rainstorms during our stay, so the house stayed comfortable for the most part. There isn’t a washer/dryer available for guest use, which was a bit inconvenient when you’re staying a week or more. It would have been so helpful to have the option to wash your clothes, dirty beach towels and your sheets during a longer stay. Just an FYI the roads in St. Thomas are incredibly windy, steep with many hairpin turns, and the driveway down to the villa is crazy steep, with chuckholes/worn out uneven roads making for a very rough and off road experience. Just something to note for anyone with neck or back issues, it feels like a 4 wheeling off road experience and can slam you around quite a bit. The neighborhood/area is absolutely gorgeous! Very serene, quiet and felt very safe."

"Air Conditioning was nice. House keeping came daily. Rooms were spacious but bathrooms are tiny, limited towels, staff was not helpful, beds were very hard, rooms flooded from rain storm was told to put luggage on bed. Never tried to do anything about it. Front desk was VERY slow. Rooms were not ready at 4. They had muffins and water daily. NOT worth the price."

"We had a wonderful stay! The views were absolutely stunning—every room offered a beautiful look at the ocean, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The home was fully equipped with everything we needed, making it comfortable and easy to settle right in. The host was also fantastic, responding quickly and helpfully to any questions we had along the way.The only thing to note is that the drive down to the property is a bit crazy, but once you arrive, it’s completely worth it. Overall, a fantastic place to stay—we’d definitely come back!"

"Positives: Property had everything mentioned AND the roaring sound of the sea to help carry you off to a deep sleep each night. Beautiful property with beautiful views. Negatives: Unresponsive host, lack of transparency regarding the regularity of island wide power outages that knock out not only the power, but also hot water access, and internet (Wi-Fi), lack of cellphone service due to the the aforementioned and the limited number of towers on the island, and the property not having a backup generator for the regular island wide power outages. I am so very glad that I decided against purchasing groceries Monday when I got in. I would have been SUPER pissed about the groceries spoiling due to the lack of power for a large part of the day Tuesday. Due to the unpredictability of the regularly reoccurring power outages, I decided against buying perishable food items during my stay. Suggestion: Adding a back up generator to the property. "

"The entire stay was fantastic more than we expected from a vrbo. We took 8 people and didnt use one of the rooms and had tons of space. The secluded beach was so private and perfect but be prepared for a bit of a hike down the stairs. Def rent a jeep the road is rough getting to the vrbo but totally worth it. Ac in all the rooms so temp was comfortable a the time nice kitchen and lots of living room space for family time. "
