"The room was just right. The shower tub was a bit weird but when in Europe, happy to have it. The breakfast was great and helped me save the money. The staff was very helpful with tips on ordering rides for early morning flights and helping me decide what to explore on my last day in the city. Great central location and easy to walk most places. The ac was very effective and nice to escape to during the heat wave. The stairs are manageable."

"EVERYTHING about this hotel was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We booked last minute - literally. We had an AirBnB hiccup and had to pivot in <20 mins to find another place to sleep for 6 days. My goodness - what good fortune came from misfortune. This is a perfectly located, beautifully curated property with unparalleled hospitality. Staff may have spoiled us for any other hotel... We were greeted warmly upon arrival. Lobby staff read our stress and immediately set to helping us smooth ruffled feathers. My husband's birthday fell during our stay. Staff took note (without prompting) and sent a little cake + candle at breakfast and greeted him all day with a "Happy Birthday!" in the lobby. The included breakfast was amazing. All staff - Lobby, service, and housekeeping were amazing. We received welcome home notes and sweet treats every evening in our room. Our room (last available for the week) was small, but beautifully designed. The bathrooms here are a special treat. Some practical (and minor) observations about our room: • There isn't much storage space for more than 1 large & 1 small suitcase • There isn't much functional storage to unpack clothes. For 1 guest, maybe it's ok. With 2 of us things were tight. • There could be a few more hooks or bars for wet towels and toiletry kits in the (beautiful) bathroom. • The room was dark. The lighting design is stunning - but impractical when trying to find black vs. navy socks. • Walls between rooms and hallway could use a bit of soundproofing."

"Amazing hotel near lots and lots of restaurants, very near the elevator museum(closed) but nice to take picture of. Front desk staff are very friendly specially Nadya and Bernardo who made my wife’s birthday very special. I loved that the room was very big and so was the bathroom, for Europe this is amazing. They have a lovely bar and great restaurant with delicious food. I can’t wait to be back. Just note because of the outside seating restaurants the street is closed after 10am so you are dropped by maybe 300 feet apart but it wasn’t n issue at all as everything is flat with no hills. We loved our stay specially the hundreds of restaurants to chose from. They do walk up to you and try to get you to sit at every restaurant you walk by but just kindly say no and they won’t press much. We ate at a few of them in the area and the food was amazing at all of the ones we tried."

"Location of this property was excellent! It is just under Castelo Sao Jorge, and there is a grocery store Pingo Doce across the way which has an ELEVATOR to go into the area of the Castelo. If you take the elevator to the 7th floor there is a beautiful view of the city/water. There is also bar to sit and have drinks while watching sunset. Take this elevator to the BEST hidden gem for dinner, CHAPITO A MESA. If you sit in the ‘panoramic seating’ you can watch the sunset through the windows of this charming restaurant with excellent food and drinks! We loved it so much we went back twice. Hotel is also within walking distance to everything. At the bottom of the hill one way, you can catch the bus which takes you to the start of the famous Trolley 28. Be the first to get on and snag a seat! We rode it straight through to end and then jumped on the return trolley back. Great way to see the different city neighborhoods. Go to end of the street in other direction (toward the water), the bus straight to Belem (Geronimos Monastery) is right there. Hotel room was very clean with comfortable bed. It is basic, but it was safe and comfortable. Our view was stunning! Also our stay came with breakfast which we used only a couple days as we were out and about before it opened at 8am, but it was excellent. Array of breads, cheeses, pastries, quiche, fruits, coffee/juices. You can also order made to order eggs, omelets etc from extra menu as well. This place was an excellent choice!"
