"Quirky building hidden amongst others. Beautiful old staircase and lovely open air terrace, which was wonderful to sit in the sun with a beer. Nice clean room. Downside was having to use WhatsApp as a key to get into the building and the room. Clever but as traveling we didn't have WiFi or mobile data and so was forced to use our mobiles abroad and at a cost. Would have preferred a key. The breakfast included was extremely poor, some stale bread and butter and a couple of burnt croissants. Find your own breakfast but a lovely hotel"

"This is an absolutely beautiful hotel in its own grounds within easy reach of the city centre. The grounds are stunning and the buildings are very well maintained yet preserving the atmosphere of the chateau. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, whilst parking is a luxury for hotels in the city, the parking garage is best suited for cars not much bigger than a Fiat 500. It’s very tight but once you get parked, the car is safe. Breakfast on the days of our trip was disappointing. The quality is very good but the eggs were cold, the yoghurt run out causing the team to run out to the supermarket, which also had run out. Only one hot drink machine was available causing a long wait for coffee. This was probably a bad day out of many good days but it took the shine away. Gents, you’ll need good old fashioned tight swimming trunks to use the pool. Alas, at 58 years old, it’s not a look that I can wear well these days, and as such, I didn’t use the pool."

The breakfast was good and varied but the area was not kept clean and tidy during the breakfast hours. Of several news channels on the television the o ly English speaking g one available was Al Jezera6"

"An Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Tours Our stay at Le Jardin Des Amandiers was absolutely wonderful! The apartment was even more beautiful than the photos—clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and with the added bonus of free parking.We especially loved the private garden, perfect for morning coffee and relaxing, and the convenience of being on the ground floor after long days exploring.The location was ideal—just steps from great restaurants and bars on Rue de Colbert, shopping on Rue Nationale, and many of Tours’ historic sites. We were able to walk everywhere and fully enjoy the city.What truly made our stay special was the hospitality. The owner, Jean-Philippe, was always responsive and helpful from the start answering all our questions.We are especially grateful to our host Marine, the owner’s goddaughter, who greeted us upon arrival and went above and beyond when we shared my serious ankle injury previously experienced in Bordeaux. She kindly helped us arrange a doctor’s visit at urgent care, and her kindness meant so much during a stressful time.We highly recommend Le Jardin Des Amandiers—a beautiful apartment, perfect location, lovely garden, and truly caring hosts. We would absolutely return! "
