Our stay at the Lion was excellent. The only complaint was that the door to our room wouldn't lock, but other than that everything was great. I would definitely stay there again. Great location for shopping at Bicester Village and a short drive to Bleinheim Palace.

Truly excellent hotel with fantastic service. Food was best I have had in a hotel for years. Room was small but very well appointed and spotless. This is probably one of the best hotels to stay in Oxford. Well located, just a short walk to the city center.

The rooms are fairly small, but this is to be expected in such an old building. Spotlessly clean, good supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided too. High quality linens.
The pub itself serves good quality beer (Wadworth's and associates), and the home cooked food was also great and healthy(ish).
Breakfast was hearty, with a good choice of options.
Staff couldn't help enough... Just about perfect really!

It is rare to find something that has hit all high marks, but the Remont did it!
I stayed a week and my son 3 nights, two rooms booked.
The staff were the BEST- I meet Monica at check in and then Alex and another woman who's name I can't remember-sorry. All staff were professional and very conscious of the role of they play in the guest's satisfaction. Rooms were well designed, bathrooms roomy and the breakfast had a good variety- the cut fresh fruit was my go-to with a selection of yogurts and...
