10/10 Excellent

"Breakfast was pretty good. Staff was wonderful. Room was clean and quiet. The only negative was the valet, for $55 a night, I would expect prompt service. We had to wait well over a half hour just to see a valet and the lady waiting for valet before us was flipping out that she was going to be late for a very important meeting. So that the only constructive criticism I would leave."

"Overall a really nice hotel. It’s in the heart of downtown DC which is perfect and allows for the opportunity to walk just about everywhere. The bathroom floor could’ve been cleaner when we first arrived but the room was overall clean. The tv barely worked, which for us wasn’t a probably because we were constantly out. However, if you want to wind down and watch the tv I wouldn’t recommend it, we ended up just watching shows on our phone."

Moxy Washington DC Downtown

"Moxy's location is its biggest advantage. It is close to good restaurants and the places you want to visit while in DC. Our check-in was smooth. The staff was helpful. Andre, in particular, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. He made us feel we had a friend in the hotel. The bar was a lively place. Though our room was compact, we had a comfortable stay. However, only one of the elevators was working while we were at the hotel, so the wait to go up to our room or outside was 3-4 minutes long in the evening. Most importantly, for me, the wifi and internet connection was spotty in my room and I had to rely on my phone to create a personal hotspot."

"This is a historic property with great location. Close enough to walk to the National Mall, but out of the tourist traffic. There are plenty of dining options and the neighborhood is relatively vibrant being close to the GWU campus. I visited during a heatwave with daytime temps close to 100 and was on the top floor (11th). I had no problems with the AC and want to applaud the foresight of the hotel to also include a ceiling fan in the room. Lovely hotel, I would recommend!"
