"This hotel is in a wonderful location. Easy walk for many restaurants and tours close to the river. It's easy to catch a cab to go to other places. The staff was very friendly and informative, probably the best aspect of this hotel. The WiFi in the room was terrible. Mostly I gave up and used my cell service but I had to add more data on at a cost. The restaurant/bar wasn't available in the evenings. So, we couldn't meet in the bar for a drink before dinner. Although it's very common in the hotels we stayed in, I find it annoying that they won't come in and make your bed. I didn't want the sheets changed every day, but part of the enjoyment of being at a hotel is coming back to a bed that's made and I wasn't the one doing it. Here you could request full service or nothing. All in all I would probably stay here again because of location and staff. You should just know what you're getting."

"Excelente ubicación, justo en el centro de Gion. Hay muchos restaurantes, tiendas y santuarios alrededor. Personal poco, pero ofrecieron ayuda cuando se necesitó. La habitación amplia, limpia, bien ubicada. Hay un Starbucks en el primer piso, muy conveniente y un Family Mart a menos de una cuadra. Check in con kiosko, tienen lugagge storage. Muy recomendable por la ubicación."

"Hotel was great, very clean and helpful staff. Breakfast food was very good - only recommendation is to get to breakfast early. The breakfast room is pretty small and gets full fast. Also, the location is not directly accessible by taxi, but can be ready with a very short walk after dropoff nearby."
