"Old building so quirks expected. Cross Keys single room nice, bathroom clean, heating good and adjustable. All staff very pleasant and helpful, Manager, Chef, Housekeeping, and others. Specially enjoyed bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast. Let me leave cabin case on premises after checkout until later in the day. Historic area so lots to see, and many shops ie Boots, Waterstones, Co-op and Curzon cinema, within walking distance although some steps and inclines rather steep.Railway station and...

"Travelled from Yorkshire en route to the New Forest, stayed one night. We had a comfortable nights stay, an amazing evening meal & a fantastic breakfast! We would love to return. Great room facilities including a fan which was much appreciated! Popular with the locals which is always a good sign. Recommended! "

"Stayed here in November 2023 and the only issue then was the plug release in the bath was broken. We stayed again in the same room September 2024 and they have still not fixed the plug release I had to get a teaspoon and pry it open!! Apart from that the food is fantastic and service brilliant. Sad to see the Candal factory has gone under after 50 years. We will be back might try a different room next time. "

"The Courthouse hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The bar staff were so polite and attentive end even made me Zombie cocktails which were off the menu and where the best I've had in many years. Thank you for a lovely stay. We'll definitely be back. "Plenty of off street parking at no extra charge. A little out of town but only a 20 minute walk in to Chester centre or a £5 Uber. Co-op nearby for supplies. Room warm and clean. Perhaps a little more water pressure on the shower but still serviceable. Did not dine here but looked like usual pub grub on offer in any other Greene King outlet. Would certainly stay here again if back in Chester for the races or any other reason. Summing it up, a pleasurable, safe stay. Thank you team...
