"Beautiful older home in a historic monied-area just a few blocks west of downtown S Bend. Spacious grounds and walkable neighborhood not far from Studebaker and local history museums. The Colfax room we stayed in was clean and comfortable in all respects. Though the room is a bit on the smaller side, there is ample access to common areas in the home, including a pantry area with complimentary beverages and snacks. The dining area is spacious and the breakfast prepared perfectly. The owners (Tom & Alice) were away on a trip when we were there, but want to give a special shout-out to the back-up host (believe her name is Mindy) who made us feel welcome and provided top-notch service. This was our first visit to the Oliver House, but have stayed at about a dozen historic B&B's in other states, and would rank this property in the Top 2 of those experiences. We would stay here again if in the area."

"Finding Art and Lodging was a bonus to a get-away stay in South Bend. A beautifully restored home, this space also is located in a neighborhood within walking distance of the Oliver Mansion, the IU Civil Rights heritage center and some fine restaurants. A small place (only 8 guests at a time), this home has been meticulously up-dated, is clean, with a comfortable bed and a room heater which was just right on a cool evening. Our room had a half bath attached, with a full bathroom just down the hall. Our only concern was running out of warm water in the shower after a fairly short shower. Available snacks, a shared kitchen (well-equipped) and an easy-to-manage entry, along with a helpful text with parking, entrance and hospitality details made this simple to enjoy! Beautiful art throughout the home added a visual bonus; I'd love to take the stained glass lamp shades home to my home."
