"We stayed in a swim up poolside room. That was the way to go for us. The main pools are fun, but busy! There is a privilege section that we did not have access to, but we didn’t need it with the swim up room access. The buffet was the best food in my opinion, but the Italian was a close second. I would encourage people to learn to use the app they download for you right away, it’s a bit of a system. We would stay here again and we have recommended it to one family who booked already. Very kid friendly. "

"We had initially booked at Aldea Thai and when we got there they had changed the room from what we had booked and the place just honestly is a dump. They did provide a complete refund and we made our way to the Wyndham. Phew! What a refreshing choice! We will stay here any time we are in PDC from this point on. The price was fair and the resort and amenities were pristinely clean. Service was excellent and the staff who checked us in provided us a free upgrade for our troubles, which they had nothing to do with. High praise for this property and its staff! "

"Hello, Reservation #72071827129533 at Sofía by Bunik. When we arrived, another guest in the lobby was complaining about being bitten during the night and asked to change rooms. His room was next to ours. We inspected our bed and found stains and small dark spots that resemble bed bug signs. For health and safety reasons we left immediately and booked another hotel. We did not stay in the room. I am requesting a full refund of CA $184.94."

"The first thing you will notice is the awful smell, the beach has so much seaweed it smells of fish. The beach is small and filled with seaweed, so not pleasant at all. It's a busy beach, with lots of local people. Thankfully there is a decent amount of seating on the resort side of the rope. The food was good, I appreciate the decent selection of veg/vegan options, but options are limited, there is only one buffer and one restaurant. You will see the same food selection day in and day out. We went with the all inclusive option, which I would not recommend, since there are so many great restaurant options close by. The daily activities were very basic and limited. This is not a true all inclusive in my mind. There is some nickel and diming for little upgrades here and there, like better drink and food options. Though the facilities are nice, and the staff are mostly very friendly, I would not go back to this resort. "

"The resort is very family focused if you are not in the Adult only section. Most activities are dedicated to the children, and there are many different things for them to do. Excellent programs and activities daily. The pools are lovely, the kids pool with the pirate ship could be cleaner. The accommodations were excellent. We had a swim up pool with adjoining rooms. The beach is great, rough most days and they were constantly cleaning up the seaweed. The food was OK. I would suggest that the adult only restaurants were excellent, great service and food but the others were mediocre and very difficult to secure a reservation. They all had kids menus and the choices I felt were limited and the quality passable. The buffet was ok, lots of choices but I have to say the staff had a full-time job keeping things clean with so many children dropping food and spilling things. And they did a good job of it most of the time. Overall, I felt that the resort was totally focused on keeping the kids happy, and adults were a little neglected. I would have liked some entertainment at the main pool, perhaps some music. "

"Lots of great restaurants close by. The beach it's only a 5 minute walk. Great rooftop with a pool and nice view. One of the best stays for the money we paid"
