The matresses weren't great, but other than that it was a fabulous experience.

Every member of staff that I dealt with was SO helpful and couldn't do enough to provide a great service. The room was spacious and clean, with lovely finishing touches. The setting is really beautiful - in the middle of the countryside and fields. The breakfast that was included was absolutely delicious.

This is exactly the sort of experience I seek when visiting the UK. It's an "only in England" experience. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left I was absolutely enraptured. The proprietors ran out to greet me to show me a better, safer place to park my motorcycle. They checked me in, showed me to my room, and have me the rundown on local dining options. This was a true guesthouse experience. I felt like I was visiting an old friend and was treated with remarkable generosity and kindness. The house is charming and well located. My bedroom was cozy and clean and lovely in every way. Breakfast was delicious especially the fresh fruit bowl.

This property was situated right on the river with outdoor seating at picnic tables if desired.

We had a great stay! What stood out: clean rooms - we had two (spotless), staff were so curteous and pleasant, beds and pillows conforatable, nice walk in hot shower, heating in the rooms was perfect, amenities like the breakfast was wonderful and the parking was useable, although we used the public car park as not to be parked in. Thanks to the front desk manager we put extra time in the metre overnight because the traffic warden is out there before 8 o'colck!

In almost all ways, the stay was excellent. The room was large and furnished will all necessary amenities. The bath and bedroom appeared to be recently renovated to a very high quality. The food and service in the restaurant was also excellent. The only problem arose with the outside noise level between 10:30 and 11 pm, as a large group congregated for a long goodbye as they slowly exited the restaurant below the room. While the noise was quite loud, it was fortunately not long-lived.
