"A good place to base yourself if you are planning to look around Cornwall. The Hotel is excellent all round. The "cell" was very clean, spacious and well appointed and the breakfasts were great. The staff were very helpful and do all that they can to make your stay as good as it can be. Wouldn't hesitate in returning or recommending to friends."

"Keepers cottage is a gorgeous little 2 bedroom semidetached, surrounded by a farm. We stayed for 3 nights and it was myself, my daughter and our pooch. It was pet friendly for our dog but I imagine it would be too difficult for an old dog as the wooden stairs are quite steep. There is an exercise area for dogs and a poo bin. Expect noise morning and evening from the working farm. The noise didn’t trouble us at all. We didn’t get to meet the farm animals as they were off limits due to it being a working farm. The bed was very comfortable and clean and we both had good nights sleep. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom is a wetroom and is small but perfect for our party of 2.The location of the cottage was excellent between the North and South coasts of Cornwall about a 30 minute drive to both. We enjoyed a walk from Rock to Polzeath and back and another walk down the River Fowey from Lanhydrock. We also enjoyed a meal at The Old Inn at St Breward which we have visited before. It’s the highest pub in Cornwall. We enjoyed the little shops of Wadebridge on a rainy day. The games in the cottage were great for entertainment in the evenings. The WiFi was excellent inside the cottage. We couldn’t make use of the balcony- rain!John was excellent at communicating before and during our stay and was very helpful at answering all my many questions!All in all we had a lovely short break. Thank you John! (We didn’t meet John or any other people living on the farm)"

"Very happy with our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and even left a welcome basket of goods including home made scones, and, left some treat food in order to feed the pigs, goats and donkeys!The accommodation is superb although it would be nice to have either an additional easy chair or a bigger sofa....but I am struggling to nit pick!The location is well out of the way and so there is complete peace & quiet once you get back after a busy day being out & about.We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to those looking for accommodation which is peaceful & quiet in the evenings and most enjoyable locations are within a 30-45min drive."
