With a beautifully remodeled interior and views of Mt. Baker on a clear day, this historic Coupeville farmhouse is perfect for your next family vacation to Whidbey Island. Spend your days kayaking and hiking on the island's shores, and return home to a dog-friendly living space, a wood-burning stove, and a selection of board games for your entertainment. Outside, there's a large area for the kids to play and plentiful outdoor seating if you want to gaze at the night sky in the absence of light pollution.

What's nearby:
This home sits across the road from the Naval Outlying Field Coupeville (NOLF Coupeville), where Navy jets perform their night flight training (which results in both a neat scene to observe and loud noises that can occur late at night). Here in the middle of the island, you'll find it easy to go both north and south, and there's a bike trail nearby that makes for easy excursions. The cottage is four miles southeast of downtown Coupeville's shops and restaurants, six miles east of the incredible Bluff Trail at Ebey's Landing, eight miles north of walking trails and Whidbey Pies Cafe at Greenbank Farm, and 15 miles south of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. With Deception Pass State Park only 23 miles north, you'll quickly find this area to be a hiker's dream.

Things to know:
Free WiFi
Full kitchen
Dog-friendly. Up to two dogs allowed.
The neighboring airstrip is home to the night flight training of Navy jets, which translates to loud noises

Perfect island getaway
This may be my new favorite property. It was such a gift pulling up to this beautiful property with the welcoming twinkle lights. It was a perfect spot for the weekend. Clean, well stocked and beautiful home with lovely furnishings. So grateful for our stay.

Perfect for our family trip
We really enjoyed this place. Huge yard for kids to run around, the house was stocked with toys, close to town, and the kitchen had everything that we needed. We had an issue with the linen and the property manager fixed it right away. We enjoyed the puzzle collection! Thanks for a great stay.

Great property
Really nice property, fairly large plot of land so we didn’t have to worry about neighbors. Best part is the full kitchen, really opened up a lot of options for making meals. 5 stars

Nice Location
Nice location, easy to get anywhere on Whidbey Island. Not noted anywhere on the property, but easily findable is the proximity of the house to the Navy practice field for aircraft carrier landing. I would have loved to see that, but it did not happen during our stay. Clearly possible noise issues for some based on the the number of ear plugs throughout the house.

Loved this place, already planning the next stay here
Beautiful place, beautiful house, easy check in and out. Loved everything about this property! The only thing that was not to my liking was the lack of cleaning given the high cleaning fees. A couple of examples: there was a half drank coffee pot in the coffee machine, black dog hair (not judging dogs at all, we had a white haired dog with us) in the bed sheets and in the bathroom floor, the grass hadn't been cut etc. The kitchen was immaculate though and had everything we needed. I wouldn't have mentioned any of these things, or rated 4 out of 5, had the fees not been so much higher than what we are used to, especially in dog friendly houses. But the overall stay was really pleasant and would definitely stay there again.

Great family place
Super cute old officer’s cabin with everything remodeled on the interior. So much rustic charm! Full sized fridge and stove to make meals. All needed cookware available. Our children (8 and 11) loved the huge, wide open yard to play in with our pup. Was super cute that they provided paw wipes and doggie bags! Netflix and old school Nintendo entertained us all at night. Saw that there were plenty of toys for those with younger children. We loved the sounds of owls at night and the deer that visited us in the field. No sounds from aircraft the weekend we stayed. Very peaceful stay. Make sure to bring your own coffee!

Great getaway!
Very cool historic property across the road from the practice runway for navy jets. Loved the huge kitchen and authentic feel. It's only a few miles to the beach, and 5-10min to coupeville. View of Baker is pretty too. Great place for a disconnected getaway, but the internet is extremely unreliable, so expect frequent pauses/ interruptions if streaming videos or trying to work on-line.

Wish I could give you 5 stars
The house is beautiful and the price is right. I do wish that the owners would be more up front with the noise level as the airport next door is very active and the jets do make it hard to sleep. Yes ear plugs are provided, but honestly the fans they provide work better than they do. Earwig bugs kept appearing in the kitchen and bathroom, might want to do something about that. I just smoosh them, but other people would be turned off. The main complaint is that the smoke alarms are very sensitive and will go off at any given time. Four times to be exact. We turned the heater on, cooked bacon with the fan on, using a flat iron for hair, and no smoke, but alarm would go off. We enjoyed ourselves anyway and we do love your pretty home. Every kitchen item I needed was here, which I appreciate, but it would have been nice to know what you provide so I didn’t have to bring mine just in case.
