"Our room was nice. The staff is always amazing. But 3 out od 5 days my family was sick from eating the buffet. Diarrhea,vomiting,and cramps. We have been here several times before with no issues. My 12 year old would eat only french toast because he was afraid of being sick again and thw food selection was AWFUL!!!!! it rained and the dining area as well as halls were flooded. My husband and I could barely move because the bed was awful. We were in The Level area. After 5 times WE WILL NOT RETURN!!!"

"False advertisement. Half of the restaurants were not open; the elevator was out of service the entire trip; construction noise all day; the neighboring resort was closed but advertised as having options available to Dreams guests; I paid specifically for 2 double beds and was placed in a room with a King - was told I could not get what I paid for until the next day because the resort was sold out. How is that possible when I had a reservation that clearly states, 2 double beds. The rooms held moisture so always felt damp. Nightly entertainment was a flop. Arrived on a Sunday and there should have been nightly entertainment but it was advertised for the weekend guests not those staying early in the week. This was definitely not at the level of other Dreams resorts."

"the area this is located is great. easy walk to town. activities at the pool all afternoon. Volleyball is fun."

"The staff were amazing! Everyone was kind and attentive to all of our requests! Check in system is very slow and was challenging after a long day of travel. Buffets were good and the kids loved the food! Sit down dinner we only went 1 time because reservations were hard to get for our big group and the food was just ok. Activities were minimal but Cesar was fun and tries to get everyone involved! Beach was beautiful and secluded! Taxi service was fast and easy, 20 usd per ride to town. We loved our time at El Cozumeleno! For a more budget friendly all inclusive option we would highly recommend! Make your own fun at this beautiful property! El Coz has so much character!"

"Friendly helpful staff, beautiful grounds, huge rooms. I’m sure before the beach started eroding it truly was perfect. Still plenty of space on the beach an a gorgeous property. I mentioned in the FB group that our first room was very strong musty smelling. Many replies noted that second floor rooms don’t have this issue. All chairs are claimed by guests leaving their towels and belongings by 7am. We loved the Mexican and seafood specialty restaurants. "

"This place has fallen dramatically in quality, and it’s the last time we’ll stay there—after half a dozen stays at Secrets and Dreams in Cozumel. We had the most expensive room in the resort (top floor suite with plunge pool), and things didn’t work, they forgot to clean the room, maintenance requests took three calls, etc. After complaining, they assigned a “guest relations” guy to try to smooth things over. We had four rooms, and one of the kids’ rooms had water leaking from the ceiling with chunks of paint. Avoid this place!!"
