"In Del Mar all of August. Never got above 76° because we were so close to the ocean. Condo is 5 or 6 minute walk to the shore. From there about 10 minutes south to Torrey Pines state beach, or 15 minutes north to Del Mar beach. Condo has a view of the water from the patio. There’s a good size swimming pool, and a fitness room. Joelle, our hostess, was outstanding and responsive, but we didn’t need her much because the condo had everything we needed. "This was a clean and nice room in an outstanding location. The surrounding grounds are excellent as well, with lots of things within walking distance. The only downside is that it is below the ground floor without a window that provides airflow. As a result, the room is a bit stuffy and can be warm, and the AC is not very strong. This would probably only be a problem during summer, but was an issue for me."

"Just to note the concierge was a bit of a dud. I had no idea where our room was, how to get to it or where to park. Usually you're given a map of the property or a least directions. Also we had many stairs and had an injured guest I should have asked about stairs before. The room was great although noisy with the train very early in the am. The rest was great and we had a nice stay."
