"I liked the location close to downtown and the restaurants on property. The Stanley is a unique historic building with a lot of character. I didn’t like the crowds of people on tours taking up parking and front porch lobby seating. The staff couldn’t keep up with them. The front porch was a mess with empty glassware everywhere and a wedding party smoking marijuana. For the price I expected more. We stayed 3 nights but one night would have been enough."

"Room had a very disturbing metal clanging noise every hour sounded like banging cans, which was the radiant heated valve. Foot steps above and can hear clanking and banging and all night. Alarm set by previous went off @6am. No vanity to put personal stuff in bathroom."

"Stay was great and location was very convenient."

"The hotel lobby was spacious. The floors were some sort of plank and were loose and coming up in places. It also needed sweeping and a good mopping. The on-line pictures are much better than the actual hotel. We could tell it was a nice place at one time. It needs some work to bring it back to what it once was. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We did see several large dogs on leashes staying in the rooms. If anyone has allergies, just be aware this is an animal...

"The entire stay exceeded our expectations. The pool and hot tubs were so relaxing after long bike rides. The room was exceptionally comfortable and had everything we needed."

"The hotel was in a convenient location near downtown. The bed was comfortable and room was spacious. The staff was courteous. Otherwise, the hotel was dated and needs upgrades. The bathroom tub wouldn’t drain the water and the tile floor in there was grimey."
