It was raining (go figure) and we just got back from eating dinner. The Help asked us if we wanted anything and got us baileys and we spent time by the fire. Very nice. Breakfast was awesome. Was sorry to see the evening help leave and not be there in the morning but Kitty was there to serve breakfast and help with checkout. If you want hustle and bustle and rude waitstaff you’ve gone to the wrong place. We went to the cliffs and Aron island afterwards and wanted to go back but it didn’t fit...

Stunning apartment. The pictures online don't really show what a beautiful place this is or what a great location. The only issue we had was that our reservation code didn't work so we had a hard time with the automated check in. We did finally get a call back and they were able to help us get checked in. This is a stunning property with very professional and friendly staff. There is a beautiful perimeter walk on property, around the golf course and grounds which can include the lake (~1.2-1.5 mile circuit). The food in Palmer’s bar was fine, we liked the chicken supreme quite a bit and the wait staff, especially Derry, was wonderful. We loved this place. Watched the sunset from the beach there. The bartender, Paddy, was friendly and funny. This was our favorite stay in Ireland.

We stayed here for 2 nights for a portion of our honeymoon. From the start, we loved everything about it. Staff were super friendly and helpful with check in, and then will drawing on a map for us to help us find things to do in Galway. The included breakfast was really good. The West restaurant (upstairs) was a little too fancy for us, so we ended up eating down the street at O'Grady's on the Pier. It was amazing seafood. Loved everything about hotel. The atmosphere was perfect.

We had a wonderful stay. The bed was comfortable and room clean with all the necessary amenities. The hotel has a huge restaurant and Irish bar with many different rooms and 2 levels to accommodate all types of clientele! They had live music and the performances were amazing! The best part was the customer service provided with care, kindness, enthusiasm and pure happiness, always quick with help and a smile from their employee Niall, he was such a pleasure! It was raining in Clifden so we spent most of our stay at the Castle, really enjoyed the lecture and champagne reception, dinner and breakfast was excellent. Our room overlooked the town and gardens, beautiful. Great stay!

The rooms were beautiful and very clean. The stag was extremely warm and welcoming! Also the food downstairs in the cafe was amazing.

This is a grand old hotel that speaks clearly of a time past. The building is beautiful , with dark wood and marble and many windows. Check in was quick and efficient as well as friendly and inviting. Our rooms (we travelled as a family of 7 and needed 3 rooms) had wonderful views. The rooms were comfy and the baths had heated towel racks. Now, I have read some negative reviews that noted rusty water from the pipes. My reply is that it harms nothing and there is no charge for the mineral...

Very hip hotel with neat bar/restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff, definitely a great spot to stay in Galway.

Decor is very dramatic. Nice place, nice staff. Pretty clean, food was good. Nothing bad to say but if you don’t own a Valentino suit, you might not match the furniture.

Nice hotel right on Galway Bay. I visited in late September but would be lovely in summer. Spacious room, good breakfast. Spa services available but I didn’t use them. About 1.5 miles / 25 minute pleasant walk to Galway town center. Large hotel that seems to be used for conferences and meeting point for larger tour groups.
