"What a strange place. Felt kind of shabby and unloved. Front desk unattended on several occasions. Staff slow and sometimes unhelpful. Hallway carpets scuffy. Nothing was terrible, but nothing was very good either. On the plus side, king balcony was large and had a nice lake view. Bed very comfortable and sheets were nice. I guess this is all you can hope for in such a small town? "

"The hotel was clean but definitely could use to be updated. The bed was very hard and the springs made a sound when I sat down (I am not a large woman). The hook on the bathroom door was unusable as it needed to be properly attached, it was missing a screw. The free breakfast was good. "

"What a blessing!! I will cherish the memories of this cabin for a lifetime.Quiet, peaceful, secluded!! A well needed rest from the hustle and bustle of life. Looking forward to be able to return. "This is a very nice B&B located conveniently to the attractions around Kerr Lake Reservoir . It is owned and operated by a couple from the Netherlands who sprinkle a little Dutch into the breakfast. The house was a pre-civil war Tobacco Plantation home. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and Martin, our host was very attentive and helpful. I would rate it a very good value"
