"The property was not as advertised. The place appears a bit run-down and the rooms we stayed in had stained and partially broken toilet seats. We had to urgently make arrangements to secure alternative accommodation for our elderly mothers, which was extremely inconvenient. My 3 nights stay at Olympic Hotel in Kigali Rwanda was wonderful. The staff is very friendly, trustworthy and professional. The success of this hotel could be attributed to its General Manager, Mr. Safari Andre. The man is very dedicated. As I was about to leave to the airport to catch my flight back to the US, a flight that was very late at night, Mr. Safari reamained at the hotel in order to drop me at the airport. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Manor. It is not often I get to visit Rwanda but I enjoy it throughly ever time I go. The breakfast omlette is delicious as well as the coffee. We also enjoyed the Chinese food at Silk very much, we also asked the chef to make some traditional Rwandan food and that too was super yum. The staff is sweet and caring, a real compliment to the culture. To write one complaint I wish that the hotel would of been closer to the heart of town (but just a 20min ride...

We were only here for one night, but Frances was a great host. The room as clean and comfortable, and he provided a good breakfast. We opted not to go to Volcanoes National Park, but Frances provided us with a great guide, who took us to Twin Lakes. On that trip we met MANY wonderful Rwandans out in the countryside, and saw beautiful scenery. The next morning our guide, Janvier, took us to the park where the baby gorilla naming ceremony is held, then out into the countryside again. FANTASTIC!
