"The pods are a clever way to have inexpensive rooms for short stays. Checking in is easy. You have a locker in which to store your belongings. Your key card is in there along with clean towels. To access the pod, you need to use the key card. Once inside, put the key card in the slot to enable the lights and other electronics. It is fairly large for what it is. There is a fan to help with those that might feel claustrophobic. Because of the size of the space, I never felt claustrophobic."

"We had a funeral 5 days prior to our travel and ask the hotel if we could cancel our stay. The hotel refuse to give us refund back."

"We stayed here our last night in Iceland. Great hotel close to airport. Good restaurant for dinner and nice breakfast buffet. Note: the hotel shuttle only goes TO the airport and generally runs only early morning. Let the front desk know the time you need the shuttle when you check in. A day earlier we had to take a taxi back to the hotel after we dropped off our rental car. Cost about $25 for a 5 minute trip."

"Got here in the early evening after flight from Milan. The attached restaurant served us tasty fish dinners and beer, just what was needed for a good night’s sleep before heading back to Denver in the morning. This was a no frills hotel room, but it had everything needed for an overnight stay."

"We didn’t stay long at the hotel, as we had just stayed there the night before our early flight, but it was very nice. The breakfast was very good and started early, so we could eat before our 7:20 am flight. Very close to the airport and easy to reach."

"Property is what you are looking for, a place to rest and be in the middle of everything. The room was very clean, staff was cordial, breakfast was good and hot. The area needs tourism, sadly that tow. Has been through everything. You should go and support it. I’m glad we did, went to the blue lagoon which is 10 minutes away. And there’s so much more."

"Very quiet, nice overall. It was in the area of Vogar between the airport and quite a distance from Reykjavik and I didn’t see much of anything in the area re restaurants or gas stations, etc."

"This place is NOT it if you are looking for a quiet place to sleep at night. The location is in some random spot in an industrial area. But it is also next to like 2 bars or some sort of gathering spot for locals who were drunk and loud and music was going until almost 3 am. We heard screaming and loud music all night long. It was impossible to sleep. The way I could compare this place is a building that was probably an office building with the office rooms converted into a hostel type...

"Beds were a bit uncomfortable, but the rest was great. My son said the bed was great, my husband and I were not fans, the staff was great and breakfast was good."

"Rooms were clean and comfortable. Just a few ideals...Could use a few simple things like Kleenex and maybe some more wall hooks or shelving in the room since there is no closet. Would be nice to have two pillows on each side of the bed. Towels are a bit worn. The most challenging part was having cold (yes, cold - not even luke warm) water for the morning showers. We reached out to ask what the trick may be and never received a response. It wasn't due to user error, as we know how to use those...

"Serene Silica Hotel...much less traveled lagoon experience. Frolic and bask in hot healing waters without the masses. Stayed here twice and next visit to Iceland will stay again.."

"The unit was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. A washer/dryer, hairdryer, a very well equipped kitchen including coffee/filters/sugar/creamer, a toaster and enough plates, glasses, flatware for 4 people. The private deck with a clean hottub and a gas barbecue were very much appreciated! Excellent place to stay and fairly close to the airport."

"Front rooms are very noisy with street traffic and bar patrons all night. My room has super basic/scant amenities with a slow draining shower and broken shower door. Not worth the price. Recommend staying somewhere else."
