"For the price this was an excellent place to stay before catching a flight back home - the breakfast was very good for a reasonably priced hotel with a lot of choice, fresh cut veggies and fruit and beautifully laid out - definitely a bonus!"

We had booked my husband and I into the Diamond suites (top floor) and my daughters into the Hotel Keflavik (rest of the bulding). When we arrived they had upgraded so that both rooms were in the suites! It was such a treat. They had a beautiful bfast ready for us at 6 am the next day so that we could get to the blue lagoon by 7 AM. We used the car service that the hotel offers. It made having a very quick vist to iceland so much easier. For the five star service, this hotel was worth it!

We arrived at the ION hotel after 10 days of traveling the ring road of Iceland. We were in a different hotel most every night, and were a little road weary. As we came around the bend, and the hotel came into view, we were impressed by the ION's amazing architecture and cool integration into the landscape.
We entered the hotel and were largely ignored by the front desk attendant, who was on the phone for 10 minutes without so much as looking at us or acknowledging our presence.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were elegant, comfortable and cozy. The breakfast buffet each morning was fabulous with lots to choose from, including smoked salmon, local cheese and fresh bread made at the bakery next door.
I was able to book a Golden Circle Tour and a day at the Sky Lagoon at the front desk, a very convenient service. For the Golden Circle Tour, the front desk staff recommended a small tour company with...

The only thing I did not like was the church bell across the street that rings every 15 minutes, but the hotel provides ear plugs. They were a great help.

Þhingholt is a gem of a boutique hotel that offers the quality you’d expect from a Center Hotel. Fantastic location close to everything, set on a quaint side street (but warning: late-night weekend bar/club spillover noise). Photos online are true to the decor and atmosphere: loved the ambiance! Exceptional staff - especially the reception crew, who offered many helpful recommendations during our stay. Very clean rooms, a good breakfast, and a great spa. The welcome plate was lovely, and the...

Everything was perfection!! The hotel. The restaurant. Service. Room. I couldn't have been happier. This is my 6th time staying there and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Reykjavik.
