"The Brufani is one of the oldest hotels in Perugia. The location is very centrally located, yet up on the Hill so not too congested. My room was a bit tired looking from a design standpoint, but it was an oversized suite overlooking the entire valley below and a medieval tower just feet away. Ask for room 138. They also have a lovely outdoor terrace for the perfect place for an aperitivo. The included breakfast is wonderful and the staff fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel. And...

"We arrived early and could check in. Used pool and jacuzzi overlooking Perugia. Lovely and relaxing at the end of the trip. First impressions of this ancient castle did not disappoint. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel and grounds were impressive. Room was very comfortable. Had a drink outside before dinner. Still taking it all in. Dinner was incredible. "What a fantastic stay we had. We came for the food (top notch restaurant) but fell in love with the town too. The hotel is brilliantly situated and also has an excellent cafe concession in town. Try the truffle scattered scrambled eggs. At the hotel, we had a 7 course dinner of dreams. Staff couldn't have been nicer. There is a lovely spa area in the basement too."

And stay there again. Perugia is a great base to stay and do trips around the Umbrian region. Simply Stunning and less crowds than Tuscany. "
