"Cheap room, enjoyed the spas, heated pools and sauna. Disappointed with the wifi especially as I had my son with autism who uses his iPad to keep calm."

"The room was clean, had everything we needed , beds were comfy very comfy , had all the amenities including air con and running hot water which catered to me and my family of 4. Very quiet and you even get views of Lake Taupo from the room . For the price we paid we got more than we bargained for 👏. Props to the house keepers whom work hard day in day out to get these rooms looking the way they do for guests. Only downside is when you’re going to the pools be mindful it’s A steep walk down and...

"The staff were friendly and accommodating. The venue is a little dated but clean and the breakfast was generous."

"The Beechtree was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Check in was a breeze and Bob was wonderful to deal with! Traveling as a family of 4 it was spacious enough that we were comfortable. The rooms were a good size and ours had a stove top, microwave, mini fridge and sink area with a good range of equipment if you were wanting to cook (which we didnt get to utilize). Across the road was a Four Square mini supermarket, butcher, café and Chinese takeaway so brilliant to have all that just a...

"Like staying here, we had an issue with the hot water but the staff were great and helped sort the situation."

"The spa pool is unfortunately really loud, so we didn't use it much, although it was why we booked in the first place. We were also a bit disappointed to not even find a little milk in the fridge for our coffee/tea. Apart from that, affordable, clean and comfy place - we won't be back though"

"Great resort for a family holiday. My kids loved it and we were happy that they were happy. One tiny thing was that the windows all opened out to the roadways so curtains needed to be drawn for privacy. Would have been nice if they were tinted. But wasn’t a biggie. We would definitely stay again."

"Clean room, friendly staff great location"

"We stayed three nights, it was a perfect location and the room was clean and worked well for us. The only thing I would point out was that the pool cues in the games room had no ends on them and the pool balls were not all there, my kids and I enjoy playing on a pool table so were disappointed that we were unable to play. Other than that I recommend Ika Nui and will stay there again."

"Lovely situation on Lake Taupō. Would have liked a bow of the Lake and Mountains"

"Good for price. Stayed four nights, didn’t get room serviced daily."
