Super relaxing stay for 4 of us. Nice hot tub on the patio with a selection of included bath salts and face masks. Included a nice selection of wines and other drinks. They brought an awesome full steak dinner for us to bbq on a beautiful glass patio. Also brought a nice complete breakfast with juices coffee tea. Overall one of our best memories of Japan!

This is a great escape from the city and offers many options for enjoying the area or if you have younger children, many play facilities are available. Staff is great as always at any Hoshino facility.

Fantastic stay and host!

This was a beautiful property. Everything was clean, updated, and easy to find. The host left a very helpful instructional booklet describing how to use all of the amenities, and even instructions on how to best prepare the food. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we would love to stay here again!!

The hotel itself was well maintained and the private open-air onsen (hot spring) in the room cannot be beat. The staff were helpful and courteous, and the dinner and breakfast menu was delightfully delicious. Overall it was a very memorable stay, unfortunately it was raining during our stay so we didn't leave the hotel to explore the surrounding area. Loved staying at this property! Absolutely beautiful. Very friendly staff. Room was stunning. Would recommend the Japanese style breakfast during your stay and visiting the onsen!

The hotel was luxury at its finest. The staff was very helpful always always nice. We felt comfortable and never felt like the staff was judging us or trying to make things difficult. Our room was shaking with our own private onsen. That was amazing and a well deserved break in between our Tokyo vacation to just relax.

It's a very comfortable facility, although the hotel looks old.

I think the biggest challenge is to figure out the transportation. The hotel is about 20 minutes up-hill walk from the Hakone-Yumuto station. It is a very nice walk without luggage. When carrying luggage, I found taxi to be the best option, which costed 690 JPY. When leaving the hotel on the last day, we asked the front desk to call a taxi for us. The taxi has an extra 110 JPY fee for coming to the hotel to pick up guests. There are a few other transportation options but we did not try. The...
