"We loved our stay at Lucerne. The hotel was older and rooms smaller, but clean and comfortable. It was extremely close to the Subway, with a Banksy on the short walk to enjoy. Many wonderful dining options nearby. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the price reasonable. We will absolutely stay there again!"

Not for those seeking large bathrooms, dedicated room service, or the shiny, less distinctive New York of the 1990s and after. Not only the most convenient but the most Upper West Sidey of all the better hotels on the Upper West Side."

"Successful short family break. Lovely staff, good cafe in the hotel and Bar 54 is a nice place to go. We had a high room and twin queen beds. Really enjoyed our stay. "

Hotel staff was very friendly, and the housekeeping staff was very attentive to ensure we had adequate towels, etc. for all four guests in the room. That is rare. Also great location as we had tickets to see The Wiz right in the Marquis Theatre in the hotel. "
