"Very cool old building, but the hotel was totally modern. The "kickback" was generous and rooms were well maintained. We had a suite and the only complaints I had were that it had a tub/shower combo so you had to step into the tub to shower and minimal counter space for women like me who do not travel lightly with cosmetics."

"Everything was excellent! From our check-in service to the amenities we really enjoyed our stay. Our friends Usually stay at a nearby hotel and they were really impressed with this one. The valet guys were really pushing people to use the garage next door for $35 a day if you didn't use them. I'm not sure why because we parked on the next street for $10 a day!"

"Quirky old hotel in a walkable area. Breakfast was just coffee and a few packaged pastries. Bed was comfortable. Convenient valet parking, although nearby self park lots were cheaper and convenient too."

"First of all I want to shout out Maria at the front desk. She was super professional and helpful and really had a great attitude. She was genuinely helpful and made my trip 100 times better. The room was decent. I wish I had stayed longer. The breakfast in the morning was good. I had been traveling on a few hours sleep and between the hot shower decent breakfast and Maria’s great personality it made the trip that much better. The property is about a mile from the Alamodome and is an easy walk without getting stuck waiting on an overpriced uber. If you want to see the Alamo it’s almost on top of the hotel it’s so close."
