Eastern Beach is not the best beach in Auckland but certainly one of our preferred.
Now we have to wait the summer for sunburning but walking is free...

"We loved this hotel - modern, accomodating staff and the best value for money we’ve come across. Added benefit is the restaurant on site (great breakfast) and a free to use laundry room. Only thing that was a negative for us is there is no thermostat/air conditioning in the rooms (there is a ducted fan system) but given the Auckland climate, it’s not too much of an issue. In close proximity to K-Road for a good selection of restaurants and bars to enjoy. We will be back. "
