"As soon as you walk in, the lobby and first floor STINK of a horribly strong air freshener. It was so strong we could not eat in the restaurant and had to eat outside of the hotel. We were not allowed to bring drinks from the bar to our room and we had to beg for real mugs and could only get them from the manager. Staff asked for us but were denied. A staff member banged loudly on the door and woke us even though the do not disturb sign was on. Have stayed here a number of times before it changed hands but probably will not back."

"I will never recommend Iddlewood Inn to anyone. The hallway leading to the second floor smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the floors were dirty. The first room given to us also smelled like cigarettes. We requested another room, but the second room had bed bugs, missing light bulbs, and a broken bathroom doorknob. The lady at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. We asked for a proof of stay or receipt, but they refused to provide one. We checked out the same day around 11 PM because the conditions were unacceptable, especially since we were traveling as a family with a 6-year-old child and an infant. Despite all these issues, they refused to give us a refund. This place badly needs major renovation and better customer service. It is not suitable for families with children. We stayed in Room 203, and our experience was extremely disappointing. I sincerely hope this review reaches the owner. We are demanding a full refund for this unacceptable stay. Very poor customer service. Do not waste your time and money here."
