"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We had a room with a king size bed and a pull out couch which was perfect for our 2 and 5 year old. We liked the fact that there was a door to separate the rooms. Bonus points for being at the top floor and room on the end, facing the water. Breakfast was decent for it to be free and the staff was very friendly. Location was good for catching public transport as we decided early on that we didn’t want to rent a car (because let’s be honest, driving in California ain’t for the weak or scared ( me)) and gas being so high here. Definitely would stay again!! Only negative thing i will mention is that despite the room being clean, the bathroom smelled like sewage. I’m not one to complain so i didn’t mention it plus the smell went away (or i became nose blind) after a couple days, so that’s why I’m giving it a 4/5 stars."

"The man who checked us in, Brian, was so sweet and helpful. The room was fine and it was inexpensive but in retrospect I wish I would have stayed in a hotel a short walk to Emeryville Amtrak station because the neighborhood was intimidating. We had no problems but I wouldn’t stay there again. "
