"Arrived at the Mews and had difficulty finding keys as instructions were not very clear. I had paid extra for a parking permit and no permit was provided in the unit, had to pay again to park car on street as we were warned that they monitor these streets day and night. We booked this unit as we needed to do some laundry, it lists a washer and dryer in the amenities to find out we only had a washing machine and no dryer. Tried calling the housekeeping number and did not get an answer till 9am...

"My second visit to Astor Hse. I travel out of season (Oct/Nov) due to my work, and find Astor Hse a true pleasure. Apt 8 and 9 have huge bay windows leading onto good sized furnished terraces, which look south over 'Torbay' giving stunning views. The apts are warm and spacious and provide everything you need during your visit. The Grand Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed at the Grand as I wanted to experience an old English style seaside holiday, I was not disappointed. I arrived by train and it was steps away from the station, only a short walk to the beach, shops and alternative places to eat. I Had two dinners in the restaurant, overlooking the sea which were both lovely. All the staff I met were helpful and friendly. The Hotel is full of old style charm and you just wouldn't get that in a new property so it is a unique place to stay and I would definitely return."

"I did have a small problem with a cooked sausage found on the floor of my room on arrival however reception staff were very quick to offer me another room of give me a drinks voucher I accepted the voucher as the rest of the room was exceptional and I decided to stay in that room anyway."
