"The room was clean and comfortable although I think the carpet might be due a shampoo soon. My main beef is the poor level of lighting; how anyone could do their makeup or trim their beard with those light levels remains a mystery to me. Staff were all pretty pleasant in hotel, bar and restaurant. The food is decent enough but hot dishes tend to be a touch overdone. Overall I felt that this hotel is something of a triumph of style over substance, especially given the peak prices charged during a weekend which featured the local Man U/Man C football derby."
