"The Thames Head Inn is a great gem. It's about a 1 mile walk from the Kemble train station, I walked alongside the road since taxi service is scarce and had no problems. There aren't any other businesses nearby, so I ate dinner there as well (delicious) and paid for breakfast the next morning (also delicious). "The Old Brewhouse offers a lovely garden which, in June, is in colorful full bloom. The garden is such a wonderful spot to sit, relax, read, or just mellow out in a beautiful environment. If there is rain, there is also a comfortable indoor space with large windows facing out onto the garden in which to sit.
Our room was comfortably appointed and included a mini-fridge which we used to store yogurt and cheeses for lunch —and to chill a bottle of white wine.
