"The standard room we had was very clean, but the whole room was very, very tired and needs all the fitted furniture replaced. The mini fridge wasn’t working. The staff were very helpful and polite. But for what the room cost us it was ok for one night."

"I stayed at the hotel recently and while there are several aspects to appreciate, the overall experience falls slightly short of what one would expect from a true five-star property. The location is undeniably excellent and highly convenient. The room size is also a notable advantage, being more generous than most London hotels, and the interior design has a distinctive, well-considered character, particularly within such a beautiful Victorian building. That said, the execution on finer details does not quite align with a five-star standard. The quality of soft furnishings and amenities — including the bathrobe, towels, slippers, pillows and toiletries — felt relatively basic and closer to a three-star level. In a property where facilities such as a swimming pool or spa are not available, these in-room elements become even more important, and currently they do not fully meet expectations. I had also made a prior request for a quiet room, which unfortunately was not reflected in the allocation. The room was positioned near a staircase, and due to limited sound insulation, there was noticeable disturbance from door movements and foot traffic early on Sunday morning. Overall, the hotel has strong fundamentals — particularly in location, room size and design — but the attention to detail and consistency of execution could be improved. It feels like a missed opportunity, where avoidable shortcomings in execution undermine what is otherwise a very strong asset — a well-located "

"A stylish and spotless hotel in a fab London City location. We stayed for 4 nights up-graded to a premium double with kitchen. The room was huge and spotlessly clean. It overlooked the Tower of London and had a huge comfortable bed. Sound proofing was very good so we slept well. The hotel is so well located for access to transport links. The DLR is literally across the road and Tower Hill Tube round the corner. It’s also 5 minutes walk down to the river for river boats. "
