Incredibly dirty/unauthorized entry/safety concerns
Upon arrival, we noticed crumbs and dirt as well as large stains on the living room couch/futon. There was mold/mildew on the shower curtain liner. We pulled an extra comforter out of the closet to drape over the dirty couch only to find a white, crusty substance on the comforter. We notified management via text message. The following day, housekeeping came into the condo without notifying us and left the door open and unlocked when they left. They then called to tell me they had entered, unauthorized, and were unable to locate the dirty comforter. They obviously didn’t look too hard as the comforter was sitting on the couch. When I spoke to the customer service representative, I was clear I was not happy with the unauthorized entry as it posed a major safety concern. What if someone had come in and stole our belongings or what if someone was inside the condo when we returned? Being we would not be there long and I was already unhappy with the response/actions of housekeeping, I verbalized I did not wish for housekeeping to return until after our departure. That being said, housekeeping again returned in search of the comforter the following day. In addition to the other cleanliness issues, we were unable to use the stove as the entire condo filled with smoke the moment the stove was turned on due to the burners not being cleaned. They were black and full of old, burnt food residue. I am not one to complain but I have never been this disappointed in a vacation rental or the lack of concern from leadership when their team created safety concerns. I will not be returning to this property and very likely will not return to another Vacasa property after the way this was handled.
