"We had a wonderful two night stay here. Excellent value for money. The place was clean, really well equipped, comfy and lots of space. The view is amazing and having it from the onsen was even better. The staff were so nice and kind. They really helped us when our daughter needed medical assistance. Can't thank them enough. "

Incredible experience. Staff members are excellent, anticipating all needs, and ensured a comfortable stay with clear communication. They confidently used translation tools to communicate. Everything is laid out for you to use, in the tent, bathroom, campfire and kitchens (dinner and breakfast to grill). Private space and really cozy. The weather was bad so we couldnāt see Fuji-san for most of our visit but the property was well worth it no matter what. The mountain came out the say hello in the...

Overall excellent stay. Yet, they couldnāt accommodate for late check-out. It was hard to look for taxi to drive back to Gora station, instead we had to walked down with our luggages. They should at least provided transportation.

I was originally worried because of the lack of reviews on Expedia, but the hotel was truly very beautiful. The rooms are very quiet and clean, and the hotel is right across the street from a 7-11, so you can get meals there if you need to.
Transportation was a little tough, as there was not many trains, but there was a bus stop right outside the hotel which was convenient.

Visited with my family recently. Itās a family owned property, excellent service and very friendly staff.
Owners went above and beyond at every opportunity, including dropping 7 of us with luggage at nearby bus stop. Breakfast was yummy and thank you for accommodating our vegetarian request!!
Enjoyed Ryokan with traditional night wear too !
We would highly recommend this wonderful place at foothills in Mt. Fuji with Lake Yamanakako lake in walkable distance.

We splurged on this hotel and it was magical! They offer a free shuttle from the train station, super easy to get to from Tokyo. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful once you get in! We got the private onsen room, that had a lovely view of Mt. Fuji from the window seat (love the window seat) and the onsen. Dinner came with the room and it was an incredible 10 course tasting menu (with vegetarian/vegan options). Also included was access to the lounge with the best massage chair ever, snacks...

Beautiful property. All the details taken care off. Amazing porche with Mount Fuji view. Has a grill, your own wooden bath.
The only caveat is that you need taxi for everything from this location, which we did it care.

It was a peaceful stay. Check-in/check-out is done by tablet and was easy to understand. It was nice having a microwave in the room. I thought it would be scary to have a room open right to the outdoors, but it was convenient for coming and going quickly. There are snacks available, and the rooftop terrace is nice (beware of bugs like mosquitoes, though). The bed was comfortable. The TV is one of those with Netflix, Abema, YouTube, but no regular TV stations...? I couldn't find any regular...

Hakone Suisen provided the best service I expected. The staff were really kind and friendly, the facility was clean and nice, onsen(both inside and outside) were great, and they even provided simple breakfast!
Onsen is not big as normally depicted in Japanese media(movie/drama) but the water source is outstanding.
Unfortunately, it is difficult to access other restaurants/cafe from the location by public transport, so I HIGHLY recommend you to enjoy your dinner at somewhere else before...
