"We had a wonderful stay! There is a spectacular pool outside the front door and the most beautiful beach a bike ride away. A few restaurants onsite the premises are extremely reasonable and surprisingly good. We personally had difficulty getting the AC to work very well so we did have some mosquitos in the room, but there is no way to avoid that in Italy and the place itself is perfect for a family vacation. Our daughter loved the bunk beds too, and the host was SO kind - leaving us a welcome...

We loved our stay in this Masseria. The staff, the room and the premises were outstanding and I must emphasize their breakfast table,which was included in my price, it was amazing and delicious, the staff went all out of their way to please us and make us feel wonderful during our stay!! Beatrice gave us great recommendations for Matera and was very attentive and eager to make us feel welcome.

Una hotels I love. Clean and updated. Parking free and easy. Staff amazing. This hotel had a restaurant and bar which was nice. Outside the old city but easy to get there by car. Not close to restaurants or shopping but nice for easy access.

We were greeted with smiles, and our host was very kind enough to let us check in an hour late. Breakgast was very nice in the morning, and our room was clean and comfortable. When we come back this way, we will stay again!

Great location if u are w a car; staff was very attentive, room was lovely and very functional and breakfast was great w variety and fresh items.
Antonella checked me in and since the gym was not open, she let me borrow 2 weights so I could work out in my room; both male bartenders in the evening (my apologies, I did not get their names) were so accommodating and Laura at breakfast on Sunday was so lovely and attentive. GREAT hotel when u visit Matera.

What a wonderful place to stay! The hosts were extremely nice and the B&B was immaculate. In the morning we had a blast talking with the owners and enjoying the beautiful spread they made for breakfast. I would recommend this B&B to everyone!

We had an amazing stay at the Cenobio Hotel! It can be a bit tricky to find if it's your first time in Matera, and you can't drive directly to the hotel. Plus, there are some steps to navigate both downhill and uphill. Knowing this from other reviews, we contacted the hotel before our arrival. They arranged a shuttle from the car park, which made things super easy for us. I highly recommend doing this if you're planning to stay here. Hotel first: Basiiani Hotel is a marvel in a town once called the 'Shame of Italy'. It is a hotel that is comprised of several rooms carved into caves that used to be people's homes. It is awesome. The decor, beds, bathroom and amenities all top notch. The staff friendly and the buffet breakfast was great. Highly recommended. Now the town of Matera.... you must go. Truly out of this world and worth every adjective of beauty.
