It has the wow factor we love - complimentary valet parking, welcome cocktails, basket of treats waiting in our room, coffee & pastry delivered to our door at our preferred time each morning, turn down service, incredible staff, delicious restaurant, and perfect location. We will definitely return!"

"Property is in dire need of restoration. Restaurant and Bar area very nice, other than that it is 2 star property at best. They charge a resort fee of $25 per night, not sure what that was for as it is certainly not a resort. We were originally in one of their suites over the check-in counter and it was not what was advertised on pictures. They moved us to the Meckenburg???, which had been updated and was much nicer, but not worth the $500/night all in we were charged for our stay. I would say the hotel rooms even in season should not be more than $200/night given condition of property. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was okay......basically a continental breakfast. I would suggest staying a multitude of different properties close by. Don't let the pictures convince you to stay, they are not represntative of the property condition."

"The inn is very well located, easy 20 min walk to the beach or 5 min to the port. Bonus to have a continental breakfast included. Room is clean, bed is comfortable with excellent pillows and towels. However the washrooms are dated, but adequate."

"Room was clean but bathroom sink full of rust disappointing. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was good but our stay coincided with Mother’s Day brunch and communication was unclear of when guest should arrive so that was disappointing. "

"Overall it’s a beautiful property, however there are few little things that could be improved. 1) mirrors in the rooms - there was only one mirror in the bathroom. The room needs a full length mirror or at least another mirror in the actual room. 2) outlets - the rooms had very limited outlets and the outlets that were there were already occupied by lamps/tv/fridge. When you needed an outlet to charge your phone or iron you needed to unplug the lamp and then it was dark. 3) stairs - something I could have missed when booking but the wharf rooms have a flight of stairs. We stayed on the second floor so needed to carry all the luggage up two flights of stairs, this was an inconvenience."

"Hotel certainly not ready for travelers. Had to find off street parking in heavy rain just to check in. Next day, shower did not work. Had to shower in another room. No coffee avail at the hotel. Should not have been open with the lack of expected amenities."

"Positives first - Room was spotless, all staff exceptionally polite and attentive. Homemade cookies and coffee/ tea/ cocoa available 24/7. Location fabulous. Bed was very comfortable, our room was quite inviting to the eye, the shower large with an overhead deluge shower head. Breakfast was simply exceptional. But too many significant, though fixable, negatives - Lots of maintenance issues: 1) gas fireplace in our room broken, 2) outside gas fire-pit not operative, 3) diverter knob to make the shower come through the wand broken, 4) heat-lamp in bathroom ceiling not operative. Additionally our room had virtually no chairs to sit on besides the bed. Also lacked a desk or (even a single) nightstand (we used two small stools as such). This got uncomfortable quickly. And the wonderful shower (from positives) was set so low on the hot water maximum setting that we ran it full hot water (no cold at all) and still found it slightly chilly. Meanwhile the common areas, though beautiful, also lacked the furniture/ arrangements that would facilitate anyone desiring to sit/ meet with other guests (common in other bed and breakfasts). Summary - a very nice sleep, spotlessly clean and well staffed. But grossly overpriced when all the negatives are factored in."
