"Lovely rest stop. Nice to have a private chalet away from the pub and noise. Continental breakfast was amazing which was included. Upgrade to full English for £10.50. My husband said it was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Audley End which is why we chose it. "

Only issue we had was that the window wouldn't stay open and because it was very warm in the room we had to place a drawer in position to wedge the window open a little to get some air into the room, but otherwise it was clean a great pit stop for what we wanted."

"I stayed in room 1: it is very compact but the bed was very comfortable and the room was just the right temperature. There was noise from a boiler I think but after a short while, I didn't notice it. The Full English breakfast was delicious. A great value place to stay!"

"My husband and I stayed in room 6 which is rather special. It is a huge room with a lovely oval bath in the bedroom and separate shower and WC with two hand basins. There was also a desk and chair and comfy leather sofa and a TV. The chandeliers and large mirrors added a bit of glamour. We ate at the pub on our first night and enjoyed our meal and the service.
