amenities wonderful--staff professional and helpful--location wonderful (on lake) Only issue is a church bell that gongs 24/7 every 15 minutes--the staff provided me with earplugs, and I was fine when using them. Restaurant delicious, outdoors on the lake.

Lakeside. Polite and friendly staff. Easy access to transit.

Free hassle free parking, free bus ticket for public transportation, good free breakfast

We stayed here for two nights in February 2017, since it was close to the sledding on Rigi. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough snow to sled, so we had to do other things. That was easy as there were Mardi Gras celebrations in both Weggis and Lucerne, which included a local brass band playing great music one evening. The hotel was just what we wanted. Parking wasn't a problem - the hotel staff made room when the spots were full. Our room was a junior suite with a balcony looking over the...

Great room, cozy and with some personality (not a cookie-cutter hotel room- wood panels, comfortable chairs, etc.) Incredibly beautiful view of the lake and mountains with a small balcony. No AC, as is expected in Europe, but provided fan and open windows kept the room comfortable in late July. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel restaurant was far above expectations- excellent, high quality food. We didn't use the hotel's sauna, pool, or lakefront facilities, but they are...

The room was really spacious and had an awesome lake view. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They give you a free bus pass to use during your stay. You get on right out front and it takes you to the city center or train station in about 15 minutes. Very easy and convenient. After a day of sightseeing it was nice to come back to our room, make some hot tea, and slip into a cozy robe and slippers. I also thought the price of the room was very reasonable considering how expensive...

The views from the windows were extremely gorgeous including of Lake Lucerne and mountains on the other side of Weggis. The room was spacious with an incredible bathroom/tub. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of options of the local fare. Also, staff was very polite and helpful. We would love to stay here again!

Hotel Felmis turned out to be a very good choice for my wife and me. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the mountains from our room. We were driving, so we appreciated the very convenient parking. We took the bus from right in front of the hotel to downtown Lucerne, without having to hassle with parking in Lucerne. The area around the hotel is very nice.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful; the facilities quaint, clean and aesthetically pleasing! The view is unmatched and the setting perfect for the size hotel and surrounding architecture. Great place to practice your German and mostly everyone speaks english if you need help. Very quiet and serene! stunning Foliage and surrounding verdure.

Oh my gosh this place is heaven. The room was perfect, good size, comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking an absolutely breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains! There is a coffee bar/stand on every floor so you can help yourself to a coffee any time, day or night. The breakfast buffet that's included was delicious. The indoor and outdoor pools are magnificent to swim in when you're staring at the mountains. The staff was above and beyond helpful and extraordinarily nice! (Everyone in...

Nice hotel near transportation but its not in the city

Fabulous Hotel and great service! Would definitely recommend!

Great stay at Hotel Engel! I had a wonderful experience at Hotel Engel. The staff were incredibly helpful with all of my questions, the room was cleaned thoroughly every single day, and the surrounding view outside the hotel was absolutely incredible. I also loved the breakfast, which had plenty of variety every morning. Plus, the convenience is unbeatable since the bus station is just across the hotel. Highly recommended!
