Hotel San Marco

"We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel San Marco. Pietro was kind and knowledgeable and the staff at breakfast were also extremely nice and fast to respond. Breakfasts were fine and the room was very comfortable. The bar came in handy as well. Here are the only negatives: no facial tissues (not a huge deal but it was just a bit strange. So here's the only REAL problem: the cleaning staff were EXTREMELY loud starting at 8 AM in the hallway outside our room. Loud talking, laughing, banging stuff, etc., etc. They did a great job cleaning and making up the rooms, they just woke us up every morning earlier than we'd planned. Sounds like a simple adjustment to us."

"I love this hotel so much it was my second visit. I describe it as wholesome. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is superb for train station (2mins), city wallls (5 mins) and parkrun start line (5 min walk) Lucca is special and well worth a visit. I will certainly be back next next to stay and this lovely little hotel but please don’t forget the 3 mins plug adapter for Italy and not a standard EU plug."

"The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the old walled town. Staff were great to point out best routes and make us dinner reservations. Our room was fabulous, clean , comfortable, nicely decorated and quiet at the back of the building. Free parking was a wonderful benefit. Lots of selection for breakfast and a handy bar for evening drinks."

"The La Monastica resort was a wonderful place with a staff who were exceptionally welcoming, pleasant and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The location and grounds were beautiful with some modern influences in decor but really maintaining the overall old world charm and aesthetic of the monastery. We really enjoyed time in the bar playing cards and drinking some great cocktails."

"Super buffet déjeuner! Le plus complet que nous avons vu durant notre voyage. Le spa (inclu) et les deux piscines sont magnifiques et propres. Très bel hôtel avec personnel accueillant et serviable. Notre coup de cœur!!"

"Great hotel, not too far from either train station. Staff are lovely. Breakfast was great, loads of choice. Only downside was our room, which despite being the largest room in the hotel, felt very impersonal and clinical, and the toilet flush was damaged, though it did work. Also we were in the eaves, so very little view or natural light. Access to the swimming pool was a bonus! Loved Montecatini, would stay again, but in a different room."
