"This was my 4'th time visiting the French Quarter. I didn't plan on spending much time in my hotel. Because: It's the French Quarter! However, I ended up spending a great deal more time in my hotel than I normally would have, and for all the right reasons. Everyone, from the valet who parked my car, to the receptionist, servers, bartenders, managers - unbelievable level of service. Claire (server in the Roux on Orleans restaurant) was excellent. Ken and Big T from Touchdown Jesus were amazing as well. There was also a bartender at the pool bar who kept me there for a long time because he was so engaging - I regret that I don't remember his name. I own my own bar and have been in the service industry for about 32 years and there's absolutely no one from this hotel that I wouldn't immediately hire on the spot. I hade an amazing experience. Also, I found plenty of time to experience the French Quarter. "

"Hotel was great and well maintained with friendly staff. Unfortunately the area around it is not so safe at night but that’s just Houston downtown in general."

"Beach was amazing ! Pool was like ice in October but otherwise beautiful. They have a swim up bar . The beach was pretty busy in October Staff was great! Room was great ! Bar easily accessible and good . Snow cones and a taco truck close by too . Great restaurants nearby in walking distance : The Crab shack . Oasis coffee bar was super close and Yummy . "

"The location is great. Close enough to bourbon street to be convenient, far enough away to be restful. Some stains and wear on old carpet, but generally in decent shape for an old hotel at a reasonable rate in a popular area"

"Pool staff were attentive and amazing. We didnt want long at all for drinks and they delivered them right to you in the pool! Adult only swim up bar was nice also. Rooms were updated and clean. We used the laundry facilities and that was very convenient. restaurant and food truck had many choices and every meal we ate was delicious. Valet service was much appreciated and affordable. we had a condo and didnt get daily room service but they came when we called to switch out garbages and drop fresh towels. Love the Margaritaville vibe! would definitely stay here again. "
