"My host was very communicative and helped me navigate the ins and outs of the place.Things that stood out, you can hear the ocean all the time.Nice flat lava to do Qi Gong.Washer and dryer.Gas stove!Cotton sheets.Quiet Neighbourhood."

"The house is comfortable in a really nice neighborhood across the road from the ocean. You can see a tiny keyhole view through the neighbors trees, but I would not consider it an ocean view. It is however a very short walk to a path that leads to the ocean. There is a wonderful lanai on the property but no lounge type chairs to enjoy the sunrise, only the table and chairs for meals. The roof is extremely noisy throughout the day and night as the metal roof expands and contracts with temperature changes. A way to access the garage from the ground floor would also be nice. For example a wireless keypad. The pool was beautiful but a bit frigid during our stay. "

"We loved the house! Host was very responsive for the one question I had. We watched porpoises from the back yard, and saw humpbacks from a distance. They must come much closer after dark because we could hear them spouting and grunting and (I think) slapping the water with their tails quite clearly from the upstairs bedroom, even with the windows closed. The day geckos that live under the lanai are adorable. Its a bit of a drive into town, but that's perfect for us. If you stay, try to make the hike down to Hāʻena Beach. It's a quick drive to the parking area, and a trek through the jungle, but so worth it. We will definitely be back!"
