"There were no staff, but the instructions to get to the room were brilliant and the room was beautiful with everything you need, including a pair of straighteners and biscuits with your tea. I would stay here again. Parking was good too. Everything worked from getting the key to connecting with the wifi"

Lion and Pheasant Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The staff were helpful and attentive. A welcoming service from reception, especially Molly who immediately sorted a kettle issue. Having a fan in the room was a bonus with the hot weather. The mattresses could be more comfortable in the twin room we were in. Otherwise the breakfast was excellent. Location was great. My elderly father and I had a wonderful stay."

Cromwell's Tap House

Cromwell's Tap House

10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I had a great stay here for our anniversary weekend. The room was great value compared to other local hotels, ideal location in the centre of Shrewsbury and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The discount off food and drink in the pub was a nice bonus! The super king double room was great and had almost everything we needed. It was a little run down in places but was mainly just a quirky older building which was fun. We didn’t have any issues with noise, there was just a bit of noise from people walking outside towards the end of the night but nothing crazy. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others."

8/10 Good
"We had a very enjoyable stay at the extremely well appointed Boutique Shrewsbury rooms. Set in a lovely area our room was decorated to portray the children’s book “Alice in Wonderland “ Very cleverly done. Our room was very quiet with a comfortable bed. Everything was of a very high standard. We would have given this property 5 stars but there is actually only parking for one car and the towels provided had seen better days. The “white “ towels were rather grey and one even had a hole in it. Otherwise everything was excellent."
