We absolutely loved our stay. Staff was so courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great. We hope to be back! The area is so beautiful. Be sure to hike over to the waterfalls and hopefully see some wild monkeys.

We had an excellent stay. The family was so wonderful. They took great care of us and were so sweet. Breakfast was delicious. The ryokan was beautiful and felt very traditional. Would highly recommend!

This was my first time staying at a ryokan. I had a wonderful time. The view was simply amazing. The dinner and breakfast meals were 10 out of 10 for presentation and taste. The baths were equally refreshing. The only thing I could critique is the bed was a little minimal compared to western beds I'm used to. I still got a great nights rest and would come back in a heartbeat.

The staff were beyond friendly and hospitable! My friend staying with me was having medical issues and we were immediately offered help/accommodations in any way possible. The bath has a fantastic view over Nara, the property is nestled amongst some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen, our room was very cozy, and the breakfast in the morning left us full and satisfied. Excellent property in a quiet neighborhood near Nara Park. Daily time slots for private onsen rooms were offered for free with our stay, which was a great surprise!

The place was great. Best thing was the staff. They were so nice and accommodating. I was late for my check in but the staff helped me by waiting to still serve me dinner when I got there. They were waiting out front for me and helped me out all with everything. They were the nicest people. The facilities were great too. Food was delicious. The room was lovely. The onsen was relaxing. I'm very happy with my stay there.

Absolutely stay here when in Kyoto. This was our favorite hotel on our trip to Japan. It is an authentic experience. Dinner and breakfast were great (though they may be tough for a picky eater). But most importantly, the staff was amazing. We have never felt more welcomed by a hotel. They became our friends. We will be back!

Amazing first stay at a Japanese Ryokan. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and the rooms were cosy and clean. Also, the onsen was delightful. I recommend the restaurant on the premises where we had some of the best local food. Will definitely come here again!

This was our first stay at a rhyokan (spelling!)and we were blown away by the beauty, The comfort (personally I felt sleeping on tatami mats on a futon perfect). The attentive service was welcoming and spot on. We ate breakfast and dinner here and the local food was abundant, gorgeously presented and flavorful. We had a room with a private Onsen on a deck. Highly recommend. This was a unique, peak experience and I am a seasoned traveler. Do it.

An amazing and unique traditional stay in a small town outside of Kyoto. It is secluded and we were still able travel to Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, and Kobe. Public transportation is provided multiple time every morning, and although I did a lot I highly recommend walking around the trails, and temples. My favorite temple was right behind the hotel, and it held amazing views and was not crowded at all. We loved our stay here! Definitely want to return to stay at this onsen. We were greeted at check in with a sweet gift for our honeymoon it was so thoughtful!
