"This was a once in a lifetime experience. We were surrounded by beauty-inside and out. It is a gorgeous house- felt like an architect's dream house- with giant windows that looked out upon apple orchards, terraced gardens, mountains, blue sky and surrounded by gardens. All of the furnishings were brand new, the kitchen was well planned out with a great stove and two sinks- one for prep and bar the other for doing dishes. The bedrooms are downstairs and cozy. "The property was clean and tidy. But on our arrival we were told we would not get full access to the property. Leaving us short of some beds. Even though we had 18 guests staying, This caused lots of problems with sleeping arrangements. I was promised a refund but still nothing!!! . There is a sauna and washing machine. "Castel Rundegg is an old fashioned hotel in the very best sense. It is a beautiful building in a most beautiful town, with comfortable public areas and spacious well appointed bedrooms. Those who are looking for discos and fast food options might choose elsewhere, but it does offer superb cuisine, stunning gardens and an old world elegance. It also boasts extensive pool, sauna and spa treatments. We look forward to returning there."
