"Negatives: hotel is outdated and rooms are very modest. Positives: rooms are reasonably clean, excellent location and excellent breakfast. Overall, great value for the money and highly recommended if you just need a convenient place to sleep and convenient great breakfast before you head out for the day. 15 minute walk to Anne Frank’s museum and the heart of canal belt/ Jordaan, 15 minute walk to Centraal train station (trains to airport, to nearby windmill village, etc.), less than 10 min walk to the red light district."

"The hotel does not offer breakfast, although it says so on Expedia. The hotel staff was not very helpful in suggesting alternatives in the area for an early breakfast between 7-8am. The room was small (as expected) but not clean unfortunately. There was hair on the bed when I arrived and dust under the bed, by the window etc. The room smelled uncomfortable and at night it was very cold. Additionally, the walls are super thin and I could hear people speak next door and was kept awake by neighbours using sinks/opening and closing their doors… not because they are loud but because the hotel is poorly soundproofed. And the locks in the doors don’t work from the inside, meaning that you cannot lock your room at night. The shower and bathroom are shared, but both were incredibly small and there was nowhere to hang / place your towels or clothes. Plus, there was mould too. Overall I unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel. It was not comfortable and too expensive for its quality."

"The room was insanely tiny. I am used to small rooms while in Europe, but this was nothing like the foto! There was absolutely no space for two normal suitcases in the room, so unpacking and packing required putting our suitcases on the bed. A desk was against the wall at the foot of the bed, and fortunately we are trim-sized humans or you wouldn't fit between that desk and the end of the bed. The room was not well cleaned (lots of dust and dirt on the floor that accumulated on my feet after a shower). The bed was super soft, which, for us, was not comfortable. Also, the large doors in the room (only windows) did not close entirely at the top, so the room was noisy at night. THe curtains did not fully close, so no actual blackout was possible. This room should never have had a double bed in it, it is a single sized room. We constantly ran into each other trying to move around. It's a great location, a part of town I have stayed in multiple times at an adorable BnB which didn't have openings this time. I do not recc staying here."

"It was a lovely stay however they were renovating one of the function rooms downstairs so we were often woken up before 8am due to the drilling. Other than that it was a fab location, gorgeous hotel and really comfortable!"

"We loved everything about this hotel with two exceptions: 1- if you are a light sleeper, the street noise makes it really hard to sleep well. (If you are a heavy sleeper, no problem at all.) 2- the wifi was super slow. Otherwise, great place to stay. Close to everything. Easy access to the trams. Perfect!"
