"This is such a luxurious place to stay if you love the Japanese tatami room experience! Even though the hotel is right in the middle of Beitou, right next to the lovely Beitou Park, they do a magnificent job of making you feel you're in the middle of a forest somewhere, far from the city, when you're indoors. I loved having a soaking tub in my room as well as access to the beautiful public footbath (my favorite!) and gorgeous bathing areas, which are up high enough so that all you see out of the window are the tree tops. And the food! The summer kaiseki dinner was delicately flavored with light floral notes (and plenty of flowers as decoration), while the breakfast buffet was so good that I think I went back about six times! The Kagaya is a serene Japanese oasis right in the middle of greater Taipei - I hope to stay there again many times in the future."

"Very warm hearted personalised service from all staff at the hotel, from the driver to porter and the reception. Had such a great sleep after soaking in the in room hot spring and lying on the smooth luxurious bed. "
