Perfect stay for our anniversary, they held our bags as we checked in early and showed us to the hotspring and spa facilities. There were indoor and outdoor springs with sauna and steam room in an onsen style setting. Our room had its own hotspring tub. We received a bottle of wine as a courtesy along with assorted bon bons. The Chinese restaurant was delicious and it was an easy walk to the hot spring river. Excellent stay.

Exquisite, immaculate, classy, and cost effective. Wonderful English speaking managers with the guests' interest at heart! I met Henk, Jonathan on two different days and they both ensured I had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The rejuvenating massages and spa were well to come back for! How can I forget the sumptuous breakfast! I had smoked mackerel and a squid dish every day of my stay. This is a real 5 star hotel in the Betou!

Excellent spacious well maintained room with fridge, shower and deep soaking tub. Helpful friendly staff in all departments. Wonderful thermally heated clean spa. Helpful front desk. Kind and helpful breakfast room staff with reasonable choice of healthy and tasty dishes. 2 additional restaurants were ok. Highly recommend this out of the way (took 2 1/2 hours by metro) well maintained hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed for our first two nights in Taiwan at The Gaia Hotel and we had a very relaxing time. The staff is amazing and very attentive, the facilities are great and clean and the rooms are very nice. We loved that the hot spring water was piped into a tub in our bathroom for our own private soak. It’s very conveniently located and there’s many little food spots within walking distance or a short uber ride. Also within walking distance is a nice park and library. Definitely recommend staying at the Gaia to relax either at the start of your trip or end.

Wonderful stay

Very warm hearted personalised service from all staff at the hotel, from the driver to porter and the reception. Had such a great sleep after soaking in the in room hot spring and lying on the smooth luxurious bed.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Everything was great from the hot spring tub in the room to the delicious breakfast buffet. The services provided by the front desk staff were especially impressive with Darren really going above and beyond to help us! We would definitely stay again at this hotel when we return to Taiwan.
